Anniversary Gala 2025 Honoree
From humble beginnings and a heart devoted to service, Tamiya Lewis’s journey in ministry began at Sanctuary Evangelistic Church in Okmulgee in 2002. Demonstrating a deep commitment to spiritual growth and community, she transferred membership to Sanctuary Evangelistic Church in Tulsa in 2004, where her life of dedicated service truly blossomed.
From 2004 to 2015, Tamiya lent her vocal talents to the church choir, enriching worship services with heartfelt praise. In 2006, she answered a profound calling to intercessory prayer, assuming the role of Head of the Prayer Department, a position she continues to hold with unwavering dedication, cultivating a culture of prayer and spiritual reliance within the congregation.
Her ministry journey took a significant step forward in 2008 when she was first licensed as a minister, solidifying her commitment to serving the body of Christ. Demonstrating a spirit of practical service, she also served as Kitchen Manager from 2014 to 2018, ensuring the nourishment and fellowship of the church community.
In 2018, Tamiya was ordained as a Prophet, acknowledging her distinct spiritual gifting and calling. She later expanded her contributions to the church through the Media Ministry from 2020 to 2023, enhancing the church’s outreach and engagement. Since 2020, she has also been an integral part of the Finance Department, ensuring responsible stewardship of church resources.
Through a consistent and multifaceted dedication to Sanctuary Evangelistic Church, Tamiya Lewis has exemplified a life of service, prayer, and spiritual leadership. Her journey reflects a deep love for God and a desire to see His kingdom advanced.
